1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Taskpesa's website, mobile experience, and gig platform (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Taskpesa Kenya. By registering for an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
To use Taskpesa, you must be:
- At least 18 years of age.
- A resident of Kenya with a valid, registered M-Pesa phone number.
- Legally permitted to enter into binding agreements under Kenyan law.
Taskpesa reserves the right to request identity verification and to refuse or suspend service to anyone who does not meet these requirements.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current information during registration and to update it as needed. Notify us immediately at support@taskpesa.co.ke if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Gigs & Task Completion
Taskpesa lists gigs (tasks) submitted by verified partner businesses. By accepting a gig, you agree to:
- Complete the task honestly, accurately, and to the standard described in the gig listing.
- Not submit false, duplicate, fraudulent, or automated (bot-generated) responses.
- Complete gigs within any stated time limits.
Taskpesa and its partners reserve the right to review, reject, or reverse payment for submissions that violate these standards or are found to be fraudulent.
5. Payments & M-Pesa Payouts
Approved task earnings are credited to your in-app Taskpesa balance. Withdrawals are processed to the M-Pesa number registered on your account.
- Payout timelines may vary but are typically processed within 24 hours of a withdrawal request.
- Taskpesa is not responsible for delays caused by Safaricom's M-Pesa network or incorrect phone numbers provided by you.
- Minimum withdrawal amounts and any applicable transaction fees will be clearly displayed before you confirm a withdrawal.
6. Prohibited Conduct
When using Taskpesa, you agree not to:
- Create multiple accounts to claim the same gig more than once.
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to complete tasks.
- Provide false identity or payment information.
- Harass, abuse, or defraud other users, partner businesses, or Taskpesa staff.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Platform's operation.
Violation of these rules may result in forfeiture of unpaid earnings, account suspension, or permanent termination.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including the Taskpesa name, logo, design, and software — is the property of Taskpesa Kenya or its licensors and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without written permission.
8. Suspension & Termination
Taskpesa may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or at our reasonable discretion. You may close your account at any time by contacting support; any legitimately earned, unpaid balance will be settled subject to standard verification checks.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Taskpesa does not guarantee the availability of any specific gig, a minimum level of earnings, or uninterrupted access to the Platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, Taskpesa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of income, data, or opportunity.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
